Alon Abutbul, a well-known Israeli actor who also appeared in big Hollywood movies like The Dark Knight Rises and Rambo III, has sadly died at the age of 60.

He passed away on Tuesday morning at Habonim Beach in northern Israel. According to rescue teams, he had just come out of the water and then collapsed. Medics tried to save him, but it was too late.

Alon was a big name in Israel’s film and TV world for more than 40 years. He started acting after high school and trained at a special arts school. His early roles were in films like The Boarding School and Bar 51.
